Kpop Summer Solstice is an annual event very month august to celebrate the summer season in south korea . In last august 7, 2016 they have a Kpop Summer Solstice 2 in Memorial Circle in plannas garden, this event organized by Link-up production , this production organized a several kpop events to showcase the talent of kpop talent like kpop Coalisce , Kpop summer solstice and their upcoming event in September which kpop Switch etc. In summer solstice they open a great category of Compettition which is "Ulzzang Competition". Basically Ulzzang Competition is a contest that you can showcase your'e Korean Fashion style, make up style and even accesories and then you will be walking in a runway in the front of judges and audience in that event . So therefore I was joined in that contest.
In this Competition they choose only 12 boys and 12 girls in the audition to compete for a title for ulzzang champion in both category, So I auditioned and luckily they choose as one of the 12 boys that have chance to be part in that contest.
but this not just a normal fashion show or simple ulzzang Competition, the twist in this contest is you've must prepared 2 looks for 2 catwalk runway and the themed is about pastel color and summer style. after you done in your first look you must add or remove 1 only thing in one Outfit you have make a new different style in your second look . basically they not looking on how you bring your style and outfit also they looking how you style in just limited things that you gonna and remove so you must show how you are flexible in styling yourself.
My first look the concept is all about elegance and neat summer look. what I wore is a jumpsuit I tack in it add a cool prints shirt then cover with my pastel long sleeve , then a clip my jump suit pants into a short to look more summer . When I get out in the back stage and start walking in the runway I feel so nervous and pressure to my self because honestly I'm not confident in my first look but there's no more time to make an excuse just Rocking the run way.
when I walk my presence should be Elegance still and more manly , before I get back in the back stage I give my finally posing for my first look what I do is remove my clear glasses and pose like a king of the world LOL !
when I get back in back stage i totally change my outfit immediately remove my pink long sleeve remove the clip on my pants and show my jumper. this look was so Amazing I definitely in love in this look because my concept is summer street style. when I start walking I feel more comfortable , I start walking nearly in the judges by putting my hands inside my pocket to emphasize my figure (modeling 101 LOL! )
I'm so happy because there's a lot of people cheering and yelling in because also them they appreciate my style , then I do my last post as farewell , look to the lest and look to the right and Bingooo !
so happy finally I already show up to everyone my runway skill even thou I' m not a professional model. but still I power the runway.
so sad because I did not win the contest but still happy because I've been part in this one of a kind event honestly being part 12 boys to compete in ulzzang category is a dream and have chance to work with a great people behind this event and met new ulzzang models and experienced this cool fashion show.
I promise guys next year I gonna join again in summer solstice for ulzzang category and hoping that I'm win the contest (cross finger hahaha)
